Lebron James is an American professional basketball player born on December 30, 1984, in Akron, Ohio. He is happily married to his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson since 2013 and they now have 3 children - 2 boys and 1 girl, who also like playing basketball and inherited their father’s talent and passion.
Gloria Marie James, who was 16 years old at the time of his birth, is his mother. Anthony McClelland, his father, has a long criminal history and was not involved in his life. That’s part of the reason why LeBron is mentally strong today and chose this path for himself.
Life for the family was often a challenge when James was growing up, as they moved from apartment to apartment in Akron's seedier districts while Gloria struggled to find a consistent job. Gloria decided that he would be better off with a more stable family, so he moved in with Frank Walker's family, who had introduced him to basketball when he was nine years old. He had a difficult childhood but showed tremendous talent early in his life.
In the fifth grade, James started playing organized basketball. Later, he was a member of the Northeast Ohio Shooting Stars of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). James, together with his friends Sian Cotton, Dru Joyce III, and Willie McGee, led the team to local and national success. The foursome created the name "Fab Four" and promised to attend high school together. They chose to attend St. Vincent–St. Mary High Institution, a private Catholic school with a largely white student body, which sparked local outrage.
He was able to direct his team to two straight Division III State championships as a freshman at St. Vincent-St. Mary's High School. He gained national attention for his basketball abilities, and he was also a standout football player who earned All-State accolades. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him as the first overall choice in the NBA draft.
He became the NBA's youngest player to score 40 points in a game, as well as the youngest player to earn Rookie of the Year. He was noted for his flexibility, as he played point guard, shooting guard, and small forward for his team. His admirers were wowed by his highlight-reel dunks and no-look passes. He guided the Cavaliers to the playoffs in his third season. He nearly single-handedly led the Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in his fifth season, only to be swept by the San Antonio Spurs in four games.
LeBron is 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 250 pounds, has spent the majority of his career at small forward and power forward, but has also filled in at other positions when needed. James graduated from high school as one of the most highly touted NBA prospects in history. He had an immediate impact in the NBA and was named Rookie of the Year in his first season. He has been named to 17 All-NBA Teams as of June 2021, including 13 times to the first team, both of which are NBA records. Only Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain, and Bill Russell have won four MVP trophies in a five-year timeframe; James and Russell are the only players to win four MVP awards in a five-year span. James has also won four Finals MVP Awards, the second-most of any player in NBA history, and has earned All-Defensive honors every season from 2009 to 2014.
James is also referred to as the greatest basketball player of all time, which has led to comparisons to Michael Jordan. In a 2016 interview with Sports Illustrated, James admitted that surpassing Jordan as the best athlete was his motivation. And he finally surpassed him on the NBA’s All-time scoring list. He is, however, more than just a well-known NBA basketball player. James is a strong supporter of non-profit groups such as ‘After-School All-Stars’, ‘Boys & Girls Clubs of America’, and the ‘Children's Defense Fund’.
He also runs his own Akron-based charity foundation, ‘the LeBron James Family Foundation’. The charity has been holding an annual bike-a-thon to raise money for various charities since 2005. James has taken positions on contentious matters throughout his career. He indicated multiple times that he felt obligated to use his position to affect change.

As we all know, the star player devotes his efforts to physical fitness and self-improvement. He exercises 6 days a week so it's safe to say that he is working out throughout the whole week. He gets up at 5 a.m. to do his workout routine, sometimes including on his days off. During the season, James trains 7 days a week and plays basketball every day. He likes to mix up his cardio routine and attend climbing and spinning classes. Monday: Chest, Triceps & Shoulders
Incline Bench Press - 4 sets of 12 reps

Seated Overhead Tricep Extension - 4 sets of 12 reps
Clap Push-Ups - 3 sets of 20 reps
Triangle Push-Ups - 3 sets of 15 reps
Plank to Push-Ups - 3 sets of 10 reps
Tuesday: Plyometrics/Spin & Yoga
On Tuesday, he hits a plyometric/spin and yoga routine by doing every session for 30-60 minutes each.
Wednesday: Back, Biceps & Traps

Standing Bicep Curls with Barbell - 4 sets of 12 reps
Barbell Bent Over Rows - 4 sets of 12 reps
Wide Push-Ups - 3 sets of 20 reps
Chin-Ups - 3 sets of 15 reps
Wide Grip Pull-Ups - 3 sets of 10 reps
Thursday: Plyometrics/Spin and Yoga
On Thursday he does the same routine as he does on Tuesday.
Friday: Legs
Back Squat - 4 sets of 12 reps
Leg Press - 4 sets of 12 reps
Seated Calf Raise - 4 sets of 12 reps
Jumping Lunges - 3 sets of 20 reps
Box Jumps - 3 sets of 15 reps
Weighted Jumps - 3 sets of 10 reps
Saturday: Plyometrics/Spin & Yoga
On Saturday he repeats plyometrics/spin and yoga routine.
Sunday: Rest Day
On Sunday, LeBron James recovers and refuels with healthy and organic food.
The great basketball player's exercise program does not appear to be easy, but you do what you have to do in order to be in top shape for your games. Now that we know how he keeps in such great shape, it's time to learn what meals he eats to power his body.
LeBron James’ Diet
Unless it's Taco Tuesday, LeBron usually sticks to a consistently healthy eating plan. This means avoiding processed foods, artificial ingredients, high-fat foods, dairy products, sugars, hydrogenated fats and soft drinks. As a professional athlete, James regards food as fuel and believes that the individual’s food intake plays an important role in their performance. James eats fresh, homemade food, because he has a personal chef. He is also heavy on fruit and veggies.
