“When I was young, my mindset was image, image, image. I took that approach with the media. As I became more experienced I realized: No matter what, people are going to like you or not like you. So be authentic, and let them like you or not for who you actually are. At that point, I started keeping all of my answers blunt and straightforward. I would mix in some humor and sarcasm, too. I think fans and reporters came to appreciate that, and came to appreciate the real me.”
He was quickly traded to the Lakers, making him the second-youngest NBA player ever. In 2003, the late, grat, NBA legend Kobe Bryant coined the moniker 'Black Mamba.' Kobe got his name from the movie 'Kill Bill,' in which an assassin kills another character with a black mamba snake.

As you can probably tell, talent is greatly exaggerated. One of our greatest flaws is to attribute extraordinary skill, intelligence, or ability to someone who was simply born with more talent than us. We only see the end result of their labors, not the countless hours of toil that went into getting them there. We can tell just how much he had to sacrifice, in a quoted interview, he said - “If you want to be great at something, there’s a choice you have to make. What I mean by that is, there are inherent sacrifices that come along with that. Family time, hanging out with friends, being a great friend, being a great son, nephew, whatever the case may be.”
