Floyd Joy Sinclair, known as Floyd Mayweather was born on February 24, 1977, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.S., into a family of boxers. His life when he was young was hard, because his mother was a drug addict and he never really got to spend much time with his father outside of the gym he was taking him to. He spent much of his childhood years under the care of his grandmother, as his father was convicted of illegal drug trafficking. Missing his parents, Mayweather sought boxing as an outlet to vent his frustration and anger. He soon developed the skills required to become a pro boxer. His precision, speed and uncanny ring sense made him the best at his age. He attended Ottawa Hills High School before dropping out to pursue boxing for a living. But now, years later, he succeeded in life with hard work and he now can afford to own a boxing gym, called “The Mayweather Boxing Club”, located in Chinatown Plaza in Las Vegas. He has four biological children, 3 from the former reality star Josie Harris and 1 with television star Melissa Brim, and one adopted son.
And of course, it looks like at least one of his children will most likely follow in his father's footsteps.
Boxing has been a part of Mayweather's life since his childhood and he never seriously considered any other profession.
And so, he is an American boxing champion who is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters of his generation. A sport that runs in his blood, Mayweather has given everything to it - his blood, his sweat, his hard work and his life. His career graph is an illustrious one, studded with cent percent victories in his 49 outings, of which 26 came by knockout. Who do you think was his toughest opponent? Pause the article and let me know in the comments below.
He has major world titles in his belt including WBC super featherweight champion, WBC lightweight champion, WBC super lightweight champion, IBF welterweight champion, WBC welterweight champion, WBC light middleweight champion, WBA (Super) light middleweight champion, WBA (Super) welterweight champion and WBO welterweight champion. He sure has a lot of titles!
Nearly every time in the ring, Mayweather has managed to give a flawless performance that has been the result of his blazing speed, punishing power and unbelievable ring generalship. His fights are a fistic masterpiece of brilliance that very few can claim to possess. Do I sound like a fan-boy, after saying this, because I might be becoming one! Despite his age, Mayweather is a nightmare for opponents in the ring even today. What is even more surprising to note is that even at 44, he looks as hale and hearty and fit as the day he first entered the ring!
He is often referred to as the best defensive boxer in history, as well as being the most accurate puncher since the existence of CompuBox, having the highest plus–minus ratio in recorded boxing history. Mayweather is one of the most lucrative pay-per-view attractions of all time, in any sport. He topped the Forbes and Sports Illustrated lists of the 50 highest-paid athletes of 2012 and 2013, and the Forbes list again in both 2014 and 2015, listing him as the highest-paid athlete in the world. In 2006, he founded his own boxing promotional firm, Mayweather Promotions, after leaving Bob Arum’s Top Rank.
I can stay here and continue talking about the awards he won and his boxing career, but I feel like we should move on to his workout mindset, workout routine and diet regimen!

Floyd Mayweather’s Diet
Nutrition is very important and Mayweather knows that. He knows that no matter how much exercise he does if he eats junk food and foods that aren’t good for him, all that exercise is wasted because he would just reverse the effect of the exercise by eating junk.
Unlike most boxers who are constantly worrying about making weight and starving themselves for weigh-in, Mayweather - who usually kept within three to four pounds of his fighting weight at all times - has the luxury of eating whatever he wants, whenever he wants.
Floyd Mayweather has a personal chef to cook for him and she charges $1,000 a plate. Quiana Jeffries aka Chef Q is a highly skilled chef who cooks everything for him from scratch with organic food. But for those of us that can’t afford to pay a personal chef $1,000 a plate, we can still eat like a champion.
But if you want to eat like Floyd, you should eat foods that are high in protein and mix it with carbohydrates, while also including fiber from fruit and vegetables into your diet. And to keep his body well-hydrated during his workouts, he likes drinking smoothies made with fruit and vegetables.
With that said, let’s look what one day of eating like Floyd Mayweather would look like:
Breakfast
Egg white omelet with vegetables or oatmeal with fruit
Lunch
Fried chicken, Turkey meatloaf or Spaghetti Bolognese
Dinner
Gumbo, Fish (salmon or tilapia), Oxtail or Grilled steak
At the end of the day, Mayweather’s training program is all about consistency. He works hard and smart in the gym, putting himself through the paces, especially with cardio, and eats clean to maintain his weight and the efficiency of his body. He goes hard in training, but he also knows when to rest, too.
